Habitat & distribution: Occasional on compact saline soils around the coasts; especially N Qatar. Recorded from Ras Laffan (John Norton), just west of Doha (Renee Richer) and is common at Al Zubarah (Renee Richer). Uses: In Bahrain, the leaves are used as an expectorant (Rizk & El-Ghazaly); also used as an aphrodisiac (Ghazanfar).
