The reserve lies in the southwestern region of the State of Qatar, 80 kilometers from Doha. Created under Decision No. 1 for the year 2006 to protect its vegetation from overgrazing, Al Eraiq is known for its diverse flora species, with geographical features such as hills and valleys.
