Growth form: Perennial herb. Flowering. Mar–Apr. Status: Introduced. Common. Also recorded: Bahrain, Kuwait, E Saudi Arabia, UAE. Habitat & distribution: Occasional or frequent in lawns, gardens and other cultivated areas. Uses: The plant is poisonous if eaten in any quantity (Rizk & El-Ghazaly); roots and leaves are used as an anti-haemorhagic (Ghazanfar).
